Thanks to you, I always come away with inspiration for new purchases - then I jump right online, to hunt them down! Like you I'm a big fan of vintage fine jewellery. Not only is it better value for money than modern pieces, you get far more bang for your buck (from the days before jewellers skimped on fine metal!), and I personally love the big, bold jewellery styles of the 1940s through to the seventies, like supersized cocktail rings. I agree, there is a crazy price premium attached to designer labels like Van Cleef and Arpels and Tiffany. Unless it's an item you've particularly set your heart on, it simply isn't worth it IMO (the classic, 18ct yellow gold Cartier Panthere watch is on my wish list, but for now I'm very happy with the excellent replica I picked up online for around $6 dollars, after you featured it on your channel - Thank You!) I used to own quite a few pricey designer items, but alas was forced to sell around three quarters of my fine jewellery collection 10 years ago, when hard times hit. I hung on to one or two favourite 'named' pieces, among them a stainless steel and 18ct yellow gold Rolex watch, an 18ct yellow gold, heavy Tiffany choker, and an 18ct yellow gold Chopard, floating diamond 'Love' pendant with matching 'Love' ring. Since taking that hit to my collection, I've been steadily building my jewellery collection back up. Now my approach is quality over quantity, so I'll wait and save up for special items, rather than give in to temptation and buy lots of smaller pieces. My big purchase this year was an amazing vintage 18ct gold leopard bangle. I already had an 18ct gold leopard pendant and earrings that match, which must have been made by the same jeweller, so now I'm just looking out for the matching ring! This is the best jewellery collector channel on UA-cam, bar none. Keep up the superb work, your channel is like you, a gorgeous life-enhancer!
